If Spurs would keep Tim Sherwood as our manager next season (which is very unlikely due to Spurs approaching De Boer) I think this club could be a success. If we look at Sherwood's record now it is pretty good for a first timer.
Tim Sherwood has managed 20 PL games so far for Spurs and has won 12 drawn 3 and lost 5. Giving Sherwood a good win percent of 60%. I say good but it is good for a guy who was plunged into the job and it is his first ever job as a Head Coach. He will not beat the win percentage of 65% that AVB had but he will have a good record of 63.6% win percent if he can win the remaining two games against West Ham (A) and Aston Villa (H).
Now, onto why I think that Tim should stay on as Spurs manager. Tim's win percentage (if he wins last two) will be 63.6% . Th1.4% of AVB's percentage. That is impressive for a first time manager who still (according to him) does not know his best team. I think that more experience will help Tim and if we start a new season with 2 or 3 new signings that Tim has picked himself, we could see his win percentage rise into the low 70s or maybe even high 70s.
I also think that Tim is a great manager for the fans as he wears his heart on his sleeve and will say what he thinks. This can be a disadvantage but still I think it's great that he does that. There are many more reasons I think that Tim should stay on as manager but I will keep this one short sweet.
Watch out for the series 'AVB Or Tim' where I will be dissusing which of the two managers has done better for Spurs this season. That series of three parts will start May 19th after the season has finished.
